Sabiha Gokcen Airport
Istanbul's Sabiha Gokcen International Airport (SAW) is on the
Asian shore of the
Bosphorus about 30 km (19 miles) southeast of
Haydarpasa Station and the
Kadikoy ferry dock.It is the second Airport of
Istanbul,The first one is
Ataturk Airport on the
European side of
Istanbul.
Located between the suburbs of Kurtkoy and Pendik, Sabiha Gokcen serves low-fare and charter flights, some flights by Turkish Airlines and Pegasus Airlines, Corendon and other low-cost airlines, and smaller aircraft.
Transport between Sabiha Gokcen Airport and the center of
Istanbul is by city bus, taxi, shuttle van, and car rental. The HAVAS Airport Buses which have served the airport for several years are being phased out.
